SimchaMinute by Rabbi Avigdor Miller
To frum Jews it may seem superfluous to speak about a career of seeking emunah (faith); after all, we have it already. We signed on the dotted line long ago and we sometimes say “Ani maamin b’emunah shelaimah… — I believe with perfect faith…” at the end of davening if there’s time.
Even if a person signs on the dotted line, if he doesn’t have emunah in his heart, it’s as if he’s signing a check when there’s no money in the bank to back it up. — Ohr Avigdor Hakdama
