"Every object is a miracle, even physically we can see it’s a miracle. But the truth is no matter how much we’ll discover about the miracles of the atom or the miracles of the cell, there is something beyond the ken of the microscope. And that’s the quality of the dvar Hashem — the word of Hashem which lies in it. And that’s wisdom, that’s a profundity that has no depth.
The holiness of Hashem’s word
There is no end to the depth of the kedusha (holiness) in a simple stone. Every piece of earth has holiness in it that has no bottom. The whole physical world is kadosh. Only why do we say on the holy things that they are kadosh and not on the physical things? Just to draw a line between them so you shouldn’t confuse. But in themselves all physical things are full of kedusha without end.
And therefore it’s no surprise that physical things can be transformed.
Just like you can take poisonous chlorine and poisonous sodium and make it into salt, so Hashem when He wishes can take any matter and make it into anything else. But this is beyond our ability to formulate in laws. About the laws of spirituality I know nothing. But that’s the secret that we are being taught by the Chovos Halevavos: the whole world is sacred.
There’s nothing that is devoid of the greatest sanctity, the secrets of creation and the holiness of Hashem’s word lies in every object in the universe." — The End is Important (#15)
