From Sing, You Righteous by Rabbi Avigdor Miller
Everything demonstrates foreknowledge. The bee and the wasp build homes for their unborn progeny, for their instincts know beforehand. Animals have no knowledge of offspring, yet they perform the amazingly purposeful function of procreation, which is one of the most cunning of purposeful devices.
Someone is planning for the future with infinite foresight
The cat has no knowledge of kittens, yet her mammary organs are aware of the future and are preparing milk for the unborn offspring. But can anyone say that the plants and animals are aware of the future? The trees have no thinking process, and they actually know nothing. Animals are not able to look ahead, and they have no control over the amazing chemical and physical processes within them. Someone outside of the plants and animals knows these infinite details, and is planning for the future with infinite foresight.
But it is not the meaningless. Nature of which the gentiles speak. The school youth is led astray by deluded teachers who pretend to explain that these purposeful phenomena of immense premeditation are performed by a mythical “Mother Nature”: Nature plans ahead, the Wisdom of Nature, Nature conserves space, Nature conserves materials, Nature is persistent, Nature provides for all contingencies, and Nature strives to maintain a balance.
Who is this all-knowing Nature: is it a chemical, or a form of energy? It is an imaginary concept which was invented for the purpose of evading the open truth. If we see everywhere such overwhelming abundance of premeditated purposefulness, to what could it be ascribed other than an Infinite Intelligence?
